  • What do AD, BC, BCE and CE Mean? By:-Margaret Agard
AD and BC refer to Christ. BC is before Christ and AD refers to Christ's birth year (not death) using the latin Anno Domini or Year of our Lord. CE and BCE are recent academic terms removing the reference to Christ and substituting the words common era instead. So CE (common era) uses the same calendar numbering system as AD ie 2009 CE equals 2009 AD. The same for BCE (before common era) which is the same as BC (Before Christ.)
  • Apocalypse Beginning in 2009; Four Reasons By:-Richard Ruhling
Summary: The pope's visit to Jerusalem; solar or lunar eclipses falling on biblical feast days seven years from now; the longest time prophecy in the Bible; and a solar system alignment-"the first time in 6000 years,"-all of these support the beginning of Revelations apocalypse this year.
  • 2009: The Year of the Open Door By:-Zach Bolt
Late last year, I was seeking the Lord in prayer about goals and expectations for 2009. Of course, I had big dreams as my new book, Letters from the Fathers Heart, was just published in November 2008. As I prayed and asked the Lord for guidance for the new year, I heard Him speak to me very clearly about what was in store for 2009. He said to me that 2009 is the year of the open door.
  • Barry, South Wales: Ancient History: Part 1 By:-Owen Jones
Much of what we know or have supposed about Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan, in which it is situated has been gleaned from the buildings found there, many of which have been badly neglected for too long. There are also legendary stories, such as that of Joseph of Arimathea, who traded tin in Glastonbury, just across the channel and who was one of the first missionaries to this part of the country.
  • Ask for a Prayer By:-George Tannous
Do you know someone who is suffering from financial stress, health problems, divorce, law suits, peace of mind, unhappiness and much, much more? This someone keeps trying and trying but nothing happens!
  • How to study Religion By:-Charlie Reese
When I first became involved in religious studies, I had no definite career plans. It actually started with an anthropology class. We covered a lot of different world religions, and my curiosity was piqued. I was raised by atheists, and I had never studied religion before in my life. Knowing the variety of beliefs that people held seemed like a useful life skill for me.
  • The Story of Easter By:-Richmond Park Church
Spring is in the air! And chocolate eggs and chocolate bunnies are filling shelves in the shops! But what is Easter really about? For Christians it is time to celebrate the anniversary of the resurrection of Jesus. The name "Easter" comes from the name of a Saxon goddess of spring, "Eostre". She either had a hare's head, or was always seen with a hare by her side. Hares or rabbits represented enviable fertility to the pagans.
  • The Law of Attraction vs. Traditional Christian Beliefs By:-Laurice Egerton
If you're like me, The Secret and other books on the Law of Attraction seem fascinating. But, how do those theories of finding joy and getting exactly what you want fit into your religious beliefs? I was a bit concerned at first. I mean, if I could get whatever I wanted stepping right into my life, what about all the psychos out there attracting victims into theirs?! And, how about God not just giving us everything we want in order to let us learn and grow?
  • Free Powerful Love Spells By:-Charlie Reese
I consider myself sort of an open source witch. I've always given out free powerful love spells over the Internet. I figure that, even if I make my spell magic available, people will still sometimes need a good spellcaster. After all, no matter how powerful a free love spell is, if you don't know how to do the magic, you won't get the optimum results.
